Poppy Brittingham

Poppy Brittingham is a published marine researcher and scientist focused on building sustainable blue food systems. Her areas of expertise include both offshore and seaweed aquaculture and monitoring of small-scale fisheries. She has a B.S. in Human and Environmental Systems and an M.S. in Marine Resource Management and Conservation from Stanford University. In addition to her studies, Poppy has worked for the last several years as an ocean science consultant for organizations like the Environmental Defense Fund, Conservation International, and the Monterey Bay Fisheries Trust. Poppy is passionate about finding sustainable ways to build resilience in vulnerable communities and believes supporting blue food economies is a critical avenue for positive impact.
