Angelo San Pablo

Angelo San Pablo is a big foodie and an advocate of sustainable aquaculture. As a first generation Filipino American, he understands the value that seafood has and encourages others to learn more about sustainable food systems. Angelo’s passion for aquaculture has led him to think critically about interdisciplinary approaches towards improving the sustainability of the industry. 

Angelo received his Bachelor of Science in Marine Sciences from Stony Brook University in Long Island, New York. After his undergraduate career, Angelo held several positions such as aquaculture manager for a startup company in Silver Spring, Maryland and lead technician for Blue Ocean Mariculture in Kailua-Kona, Hawai’i. He is currently getting his Masters of Science in Coastal Science & Policy from the University of California, Santa Cruz and is collaborating with one of the largest global aquaculture feed manufacturers to improve and expand on their carbon reporting systems.  

He hopes to serve as a conduit among different sectors to create experiences and opportunities for young, passionate individuals to bolster justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion in the industry.
