Jennifer Hill Booker

Chef Jennifer Hill Booker wears many culinary hats as chef, cookbook author, reality TV personality, culinary educator and business owner. She has taken her Southern culinary heritage, her belief in healthy, seasonal foods and her classic French training to create a unique cuisine she calls Modern Southern Healthy Cuisine with a French Accent, which she shares through guest chef television appearances and with original recipes in her cookbooks and magazines like Southern Living.

Booker launched her culinary company Your Resident Gourmet while living abroad with her husband, an officer in the US Army. While abroad, Booker taught cooking classes to military and local families and attended Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Paris, graduating at the top of her class. She was later a finalist on The Food Network’s Cutthroat Kitchen and featured on fellow CSA member Andrew Zimmern’s Magnolia Network show Family Dinner.

Booker  is also a Georgia Grown Executive Chef for the Georgia Department of Agriculture, the Culinary Explorer for the Georgia Department of Tourism and Travel, the president of the Atlanta chapter of Les Dames D’Escoffier International and a member of SlowFood-Atalnta and  No Kid Hungry Atlanta Society. She also sits on the James Beard Foundation Food Waste Advisory Council.
